London: The Folio Society, 2005. Charles van Sandwyck. First Edition Thus / First Impression. Hardback. A fine copy in the slipcase, without jacket as issued. This is the first printing of this edition, with the addition of having the artist's proof of laid down, signed and noted by the artist. A lovely edition, showing Ratty and Moley (how long did it take to come up with those names) at their picnic - a nice image of the two enjoying precisely the kind of idyllic interlude that has made the story enduring. The proof turns an already handsome edition into a direct encounter with the artist’s work.. Fine. Item #13564
