Where Are You Based?

We're based in Hutton Cranswick in East Yorkshire, just under an hour south east of York.

Do You Send Catalogues?

We do, sometimes (as a PDF). The best way to keep up to date though is through our mailer. You can join by emailing us at shop@hyraxia.com

Can I Send You My Wants List?

Absolutely! We'd love to see it.

How Do I Know What I'm Getting?

The rare book trade is unique. We operate on our reputations and trust. This means we will do our utmost to provide the best service we can. All our descriptions are guaranteed including any signatures or inscriptions. We are members of the ABA and ILAB which means that we are bound to their code of ethics. But on top of all that, this is our business, we all experience terrible customer service and poor satisfaction - we don't want to provide that experience.

Can I request that a book be put on hold?

We no longer hold books for clients. This is simply because too many end up not paying or changing their minds.

Which Payment Methods Do We Accept?

Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Cheque, BACS/Bank Transfer, Cash, We can accept international transfers, as long as they're in Pound Sterling. Foreign cheque cannot be accepted.

Can I Return a Book?

Yes, within 14 days for any reason. All we ask is that it arrives in the same condition as it was received. We will pay return shipping if we have made a mistake.

Can I Come and Visit You?

We run Hyraxia Books from private premises, but we are happy to welcome visitors, either for selling books or to browse. Just drop us an email or call us on 07557 652 609.
