Charles Fox took over publication of the Boy's Standard in 1877, relaunching it after a few years and reprinting earlier stories. Likely of greatest interest in this volume though are reprints of, or rather retellings of, Sweeney Todd and Spring-Heeled Jack. Both seemingly complete. Research suggests that the Author of both is Alfred Burrage (as Charlton Lea), but it may well have been Charles Fox. Other stories includes Tunrpike Dick, Dick Turpin and Barnum. Contains issues 184 (Nov 13th 1884) to 235 (Nov 7th 1885), fine condition internally. Bound in plain binding. Near Fine. Item #13130
