London: Longman, Rees, Orme, Brown, Green, & Longman, 1836. First / First. Hardback. A very good copy. "Collection of dialogues and essays, together with a short novel 'A Journey to the Moon'. In this, the narrator uses a mechanical spacecraft of unspecified propulsive principle to visit the moon, which has air inhabited by the spirits of dead Earthmen, together with such abstract things as lost vices, advice, virtues, etc. There is also a little technology described." [Locke Spectrum I:17]. Cloth a little toned and rubbed, with some scuffing. Corners and spine tips pushed. A few marks to the front endpaper, and a few signs of handling and wear. A nice copy overall. Very Good. Item #13457
