Isaac Asimov (1920-1992) was a very prolific writer, operating outside the realm of science fiction into many other subjects. He wrote / edited over 500 books, and is one of the few people who have written at least one book in each of the ten main categories in the Dewey Decimal System! With Clarke and Heinlein was one of science fiction's big three.The most collectable items in Clarke's enormous back catalogue are the Gnome and Doubleday first editions of the Foundation Trilogy (Foundation; Foundation and Empire; Second Foundation), I, Robot, and The Robot Trilogy (The Caves of Steel, The Naked Sun, The Robots of Dawn). Proofs and manuscripts of the early works are uncommon, but highly sought.
