The Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy (which is inconsistently hyphenated in the books) was first on the radio before becoming a successful novel and television series. It has also been adapted as a computer game, a comic book, a stage play and a film. Asteroids have been named after both Adams and Arthur Dent (the bewildered hero of The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy).
