Iain Banks, in a letter written to the Guardian, has urged authors to boycott cultural and educational exchanges with Israel. Banks has prohibited his books from being translated through Israeli Publishers. Without getting into the politics of things, it will be interesting to see how this pans out - books can make a difference, I'm not the first to say that, but can it stop, or even hinder this conflict?
